The Providence Association sends life-saving tourniquets to Ukraine
As the war in Ukraine continues many individuals and organizations are using resources to provide necessary medical and humanitarian supplies to help our brothers and sisters. This war has truly united all nations in an effort to support the soldiers who are fighting for freedom.
Along with other medical supplies, one of the most important life saving tools are tourniquets. Unfortunately, there have been many instances that fake tourniquets have been purchased and sent to Ukraine, only to realize during an emergency they are not working as intended.
The Providence Association partnered with the American College of Surgeons’ “Stop the Bleed Program” and the manufacturers of the CAT Tourniquet, North American Rescue, to purchase genuine tourniquets.
We donated 450 NAR Gen7 CAT Tourniquets to the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee (UUARC) for distribution in Ukraine to help protect Ukraine’s defenders.
We also printed and included all tourniquet instructions in Ukrainian, from the American College of Surgeons’ Stop the Bleed program.
The UUARC will send the tourniquets to Ukraine where they will be delivered by trusted individuals to the people that need them the most.
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
